Athletes who can’t do workouts or often bonk during races might be chronically under-fueled. This course featuring Dr. Emily Kraus and Siren Seiler-Viken teaches coaches how to spot the warning signs, understand the science, and use proven strategies to keep your athletes healthy, resilient, and performing at their best.

Fueling is one foundation of performance—and often overlooked in endurance sports. Many athletes unknowingly fall into low energy availability (LEA) or Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), leading to fatigue, injury, and long-term health risks.

Our online course “Low Energy Availability,” teaches coaches how to spot the warning signs, understand the science, and use proven strategies to keep your athletes healthy, resilient, and performing at their best.

With insights from Dr. Emily Kraus, physician and RED-S researcher, and exercise physiologist Siren Seiler-Viken, you’ll learn how to:

  • Recognize key markers of under-fueling, from suppressed HRV and low ferritin levels to persistent fatigue and performance plateaus.
  • Apply recovery strategies drawn from extensive case studies, including fueling adjustments that reversed underperformance in both a high school distance runner and a masters cyclist.
  • Integrate prevention strategies like cycle tracking, individualized fueling, and supportive team culture, without overwhelming athletes with food logging or calorie counting.

Fueling mistakes can cost athletes their health, their performance, and their future. This course gives you the knowledge and tools to prevent that.
