Siren Seiler-Viken

Siren Amelia Seiler-Viken is a former elite athlete turned coach and physiologist.

She was an elite dancer who competed nationally and internationally from the age of 9 to 19, including appearances at the European and World Championships.

When she turned 20, she started to run competitively, rapidly progressing to the national level. Within two years, she won medals in the U23 Norwegian championships and achieved personal bests of 16:49 in the 5000m, 34:55 in the 10,000m, and 1:16:02 in the half marathon. Now 27, Siren has shifted her focus to hybrid-style training, working specifically toward Hyrox racing.

Her academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a master’s degree in exercise physiology, with a specialization in endurance physiology/performance.

Since 2022, she has worked as an online endurance coach, guiding athletes of all levels, from beginners to elites, across a range of disciplines including running, cycling, triathlon, and hybrid sports.

In addition to being an athlete and a coach, Siren is a passionate writer. She has published several articles on Medium and recently co-authored a book chapter (unpublished) exploring how to optimize training intensity distribution as a beginner, elite, and team sport athlete.

Siren is goal-driven, focused, and determined in sports and academics. However, her strengths have sometimes become her weaknesses. From age 18-22, she struggled with disordered eating and the long-term effects of REDs (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sports). Although challenging, it taught her many lessons about performance, physical- and mental health—and how they holistically intertwine in a long-term training process. As a result, sustainability has become a cornerstone of her training philosophy.

She is passionate about bridging science and practical experience to support athletes in reaching their potential in a healthy, sustainable way. Siren aspires to create educational content for Fast Talk Labs, grounded in evidence and real-world insight, to empower athletes and coaches to train smarter, stay healthy, and enjoy the process.
