Athena Shapiro

Athena Shapiro is a runner, triathlete, swimmer, cyclist, and mountain biker based in Oahu, Hawaii. Known for racing with a smile, cheering on fellow competitors, and consistently landing on the podium, she has competed in four world championships: the World Triathlon Championships in Montreal with Team USA, the XTERRA World Championships in Molveno, Italy, and both the Ironman 70.3 and Ironman World Championships in St. George, Utah.

Outside of racing, Athena is a full-time attorney who trains 15–30 hours per week. She shares her home with two dogs and two cats and brings a positive, encouraging presence to every start line.
